Before you install
Why does my computer warn me?
Mac and Windows show a warning for apps that aren't distributed through their stores or signed with a paid developer certificate. The steps above get you past it once per version.
Does it work with Google Workspace?
Yes, and with personal Gmail too. Google Chat is available for Workspace accounts; personal Gmail accounts get mail and notes.
Do I lose anything when I update?
No. Install the new version over the old one. Your accounts, settings and notes stay as they are.
Is it on an Intel Mac?
Not yet. The Mac version is built for Apple silicon (M1 and newer). Contact us if you need an Intel version.
